Meet Jane & Myles
Welcome to Shells — a small café and shop by the sea in Strandhill run by husband and wife duo Jane & Myles.
We’ve been here since 2010, built on a love of simple food, good coffee, and creating a space people feel comfortable in.
How It Started
Shells began with a shared idea: to open a place we’d want to spend time in ourselves. Somewhere relaxed, unpretentious, and rooted in the rhythm of the sea and the town around it.
Over the years, it's grown naturally — from early mornings with regulars to busy weekends full of new faces.We’re proud to be part of a community that supports local food, local makers, and each other.

Our café is shaped by the people who come through the door — whether you're here every morning or just passing through. We try to keep things real and welcoming.
Food with care.
Our menu is built around seasonal ingredients and food that’s made from scratch. It’s the kind of cooking we do at home — straightforward, fresh, and made to be shared.
Local and independent.
From the artists and makers in our shop to the producers we work with in the kitchen, we believe in supporting small businesses and keeping things close to home.
Making space.
Shells is a place to catch up, slow down, or just take five. We care about creating that kind of space for people — locals, visitors, whoever walks in.
Jane & Myles
Husband & wife duo Jane and Myles set up Shells in 2010 on the beachfront of Strandhill.
The Cafe
Open 7 days a week, throughout winter and summer, our cafe is a thriving hub of great good, tunes and art.
