Friends of Shells
This page is dedicated to all those that surround us and share their creativity to make Shells what it is today. Think of this as a little acknowledgment and a hat tip to each person who has contributed to Shells.
Lorna Golden

Originally from London, Lorna’s a photographer, stylist and all-round design magpie with a soft spot for functional beauty (and dachshunds). She’s worked with us on everything from Christmas installations to shop curation to long chats about the poetry of shells and and the occasional brainstorm that turns into an afternoon. Thinks about shells more than most.. Her eye for detail and her sense of story make her one of our favourite people to create with.
Eva Martin

A graphic designer and illustrator originally from Sligo, Eva Martin is now based in London. Her drawings often feature whimsical figures and dreamlike forms that drift between the real and the imagined. Curious and a natural over-thinker, her characters exist in a contemplative and often cheeky state. Despite working in a monochromatic palette, Eva’s work carries a sense of warmth and humour, giving her characters a lightness that feels both human and imaginative. @fripples_ / evamartin.eu
"My favourite thing about Shells is the warm reception you receive every time, no matter how long it's been between each visit. My earliest memory of this is Jane giving me free cookies after a cold surf when I was about 12 or 13!"
Paula Mills

Paula was born in South Africa and am now based in Melbourne, Australia. She is an artist, illustrator, and social worker who believes art is good for us — it heals, connects, and helps us see beauty in the everyday.
Today, Paula works in both art and social work, drawing on creativity and compassion in each field. Her paintings celebrate resilience and joy — bold florals, feminine energy, and vibrant colours that reflect strength and hope.
Whether in her studio or in practice, she is guided by curiosity, empathy, and the beauty of nature and human stories. In her spare time, you’ll find her hiking, reading, or sipping tea surrounded by books, plants and art supplies.
